I have a couple of plump hens who have rather full feeling abdomens. They're laying eggs on a regular basis. If a hen is plump, will her abdomen feel full or flat? Would a warm bath help if something is wrong? Do I need to add something to their diets? Also, a couple of them are missing some feathers along their fronts.
Could that be from molting? They get a good layer ration as well as fresh greens and whatever else they can find from free ranging. Other than the missing feathers, their feathers are soft, and they are really cuddly bundles. I know one girl looks like she's getting a whole new tail.
