questions on the steps to take and info on showing my silkies

I have been raising silkies for about 3 years now and would like to start showing my birds. What steps do I need to take to find shows and get my birds attending? Do they need a specail cage for the shows (I know cage birds need a specific cage wasn't sure about poultry) and what show I start doing to get them prepared to compete.
