I've given mine insects, like crickets, as treats and they absolutely love chasing them.

I think it is called a shrew? They are an endangered species here and don't cause any problems. Sorry I don't know if they are really mice.

I noticed many grasshoppers in my backyard. I was wondering if any were poisonous to quail or chickens. Especially the green ones. And are earthworms okay to feed them, too?

Mine adore mealworms, but I try not to feed them too much, really only as a treat or when I'm prepping them for winter (fatten them up a little lol, midwest gets chilly!) They also like chasing crickets that you can feed lizards, the itty bitty ones from Petco/Petsmart. I just release two or three at a time and they go bonkers for it.

We don’t have any birds out around the house so that doesn’t happen here, but my dogs are constantly trying to rest their jowls on my phone.
