I’ve had bobwhites for a year now. Enjoy the heck out of it. Start early last year with close to 20 @ 4:1 ratio. Hatched 175 chicks successfully at about 60% hatch rate. Sold 120 having a permit for Texas, there’s around 40 now of 8 males and 30ish females. Hawks, falcons always present but never able to get in coop. Lots of learning curves but this forum was very helpful with the losses and questions during incubation.
If anyone is in Dallas- Fort Worth area actually like to try bobwhite snowflakes this year and would trade for some. Maybe 8-10. Neighbors love their calling and no one complains in my rural area.
