Quick Gro 8 Week Krackett

I went to buy some starter feed for my four-week-old chicks this morning, but the guy at the feeder store said that I needed the Quik Gro 8 Week Krackett feed for them now. I have Cochins, Polish, and phoenix mostly, and I have a Barred Rock that is still very small. Can you tell me if this is correct information. My chicks don't seem to be that interested in it. I think McMurray hatchery said somewhere on their web site that the chicks should have the starter feed until they are 8 weeks old. Thanks for your help.
