QUICK! HELP! One baby chick...

under my brooder! Its hatching and we can hear it peep. We have a warmer for the chick but when do we take it out? Its just hatching and its in the coop and we're worried once its out of the egg it will crawl off from mama and freeze.

What do we do? Leave it there or put it in the warmer.

Also, if we put a bunch of eggs under her will she continue to set?

Is the broody hen sitting on the egg?

I doubt the baby will crawl away from its mother - mom SHOULD be on the egg while its hatching - I'm a little confused by your post...

You don't really want her to sit again for another 3 weeks, chance are she'll get off and not brood those eggs, and take care of her chick instead.
