Quick Incubation Question

I set my eggs at 12:33 PM on January 17. It took a couple hours for the temp to come up to 99.5
My question is, is the 17th considered day 1 or is the 18th considered day 1. I am contemplating what day to go into lockdown.

Everyone has differs in opinion on this one if it's any help I set mine round about the same time as yours on the 17th and they will go into lockdown on the 4th. Good luck with your hatch
