Quick background info: I have a bantam cochin setting on about 17 Coturnix quail eggs....all shouldd be fertile, but can't guarantee hatches. I'm trying to buold up my flock of 9...
I have already bought and hatched my allotted quota on chickens I can keep this year, weith 2, possibly 4 to sell. Plus another 2 roos currently up for adoption.
I have a broody Dutch bantam.
I can either give her 3 or 4 banty eggs to set....which I would sell the babies from, or 7 or 8 Quail eggs, which I would keep females and sell males.
What would you guys choose?
