Quick question about the roof

Well the coop is small and I have some 55 gallon plastic barrels I was thinking of putting one on the side and letting the water run straight into it so the girls could get to it whenever they wanted.

I will keep everyone posted. I'm just about done with the coop. Though I'm thinking of doing a layer of pop cans for some extra durability and color.
