I placed my eggs in the incubator on the 31st...now, is that day 1? or is the the 1st day one? Thanks!!!!!

also, I candled today (just 2 eggs) for the first time and I really couldn't see anything yet, is it day 4 that I might start to see something?

    Thank you!

It depends on when in the day you put them in. Before noon count that day...after noon the next day is day one.

I don't even candle before day 7 or 10. They're pretty fragile that first week and I handle them as little as possible.

I usually count the next day as day 1. And depending on the color of the eggs you really won't be able to see anything until day 7-10. I have a really strong flash light and sometimes I can see veins in my white polish eggs on day 4. Good luck!
