i have a staggered hatch going on in my bator. i've got 11 eggs that are about 10 days behind the other eggs. i was thinking of putting the younger eggs in an egg carton to protect them from the crazy antics of the newborn chicks (and all the gunk that comes with a hatch). and i could quickly still turn them just by propping up a side of the carton (i would only be turning the twice a day during this time to decrease the times of opening the bator). i was planning on cutting out the bottoms of each egg compartment for air circulation. i was also thinking of poking little holes (about the size of a pencil eraser) in the top of the egg carton for circulation as well. is this a good idea or a bad idea?
