My hens are going broody! Hurray. But I had one decide she wanted to brood in a box on the floor. She was sitting on golf balls and I gave her a few eggs yesterday around noon. It was cold last night so I waited until dark and moved her up to a different box off the floor and she stayed there till early this morning when she realized it was a different box and got up. I'm just wondering if those eggs are still ok to try to hatch or if I should replace them with different eggs. How quickly does the fetus start to grow? The eggs were cool but not cold as it was in the 30s this morning.
