I have a silkie hen that got herself into a pickle on 2/5/22. she had herself hung upsidedown on one of the nest boxes (issue now fixed) but she sustained frostbite on her feet looked very severe at first but after many Epson salt sokes, she is walking and using said foot to walk around her box. but how long would it take to see the full effects of the frostbite? If it's been this long is she out of the woods for losing her feet? I think the tip of her toe is gonna be a lost cause, but would she lose the whole foot?

Right after it happened

looks a lot better now

**she had a few missing nails to start with**

Did her feet develop blisters a few days after the frostbite? Are the toes and feet flexible, or hard and rigid? It's hard to tell from the photos since Silkies have dark skin, but the the pictures appear to show some possible necrotic areas on her feet, in addition to some blackened toes. Two and a half weeks after the episode is not long enough to deem her out of the woods, but by now you should see some obvious developing necrosis if her feet are in danger of being lost.
