i few weeks back now i had one of my chicks get attacked by a dog with some pretty bad injuries she has since healed nicely but she seems to not be growing the other chicks have grown considerably larger than this chicken any ideas what is causing this or why its happening

Considerable resources were directed to recovery and this puts her body behind in the resources it had to direct to growth and development...the other chicks were able to concentrate solely on growth and development and, as such, got far ahead of her -- the amount of growth that occurs weekly in the first months of life is such that even just one week of being compromised can cause a significant difference between flock mates.
