OMG, Sorted Foods just did an episode on Japanese kitchen gadgets. I want this! Too bad it's so expensive, and I don't really need it. It made me happy to know that something like this exists.

Got up early, cleaned the bathroom and kitchen, and did two loads of laundry.

Taking a little break to have coffee and hard boiled eggs, then I get to spend time outside with the chickens.

Octopus balls?

They're pretty common streetfood in Japan. Batter, a piece of octopus, maybe some green onion, a bit of ginger, topped with katsuo (dried, shaved, bonito flakes), Japanese mayonnaise and a savory sauce. Personally I skip the mayo, but they're delicious! You do have to be careful not to eat them too soon, because they're really hot!

Octopus balls?

They're really good! Even as someone who does not like seafood I do like octopus. It has a very mild flavor, not fishy at all and takoyaki is really good (the local ramen place makes really good takoyaki). I would 100% recommend trying it if you get the chance!

I was able to get a refill kit, refillable 1lb kegs and a 20lb tank today! Friend is taking me to get the 20lb tank filled tomorrow so I will be sorted for the coming snow!
