The flies are incredibly populous this season, I use quick strike fly bait for around my trash cans and it works very well. I’ve been hesitant to use it around the coop and back yard because of its toxicity and worry that a bird or dog might ingest some of it. I bought hanging fly bait stations to put around which would eliminate the chances of other animals getting to it, but my question is would it be harmful if my chickens ate any of the dead flies that otherwise died by eating the poison?

I have a Rescue POP! Fly Trap, It uses dehydrated rotten egg and a few other things with water. its safe for them to eat, at least mine did and they were fine. The manufacturer states that the trap and contents are all non toxic, but chickens could be susceptible to sickness from eating rotten dead flies. Mine do, they are fine any leftovers that rot and any waste food stuffs I give to them, never had an issue. but your product is quite toxic, I do not recommend feeding the flies from it to chickens
