Poltergeist was by far the scariest I saw as a kid (yah, my mom took me because I begged her). Started my serious clown phobia that continues to this day. I really can't watch it even today.

I saw someone else say Blair Witch Project. That one was great too. Oh and paranormal activity! The 2nd was better than the first I thought. Scared the bejesus out of me! The newest Friday the 13th (made in 2009) was great

The Hills have eyes...the original
The Hitcher....original...no blood at all in this movie but it will get under your skin
The Strangers....I want to slap Liv Tyler every time I see this movie.....go to the store with him.

Have any of you ever seen the youtube video of the baby ducks swimming in the pond...then the "thing" jumps out of nowhere....that has to be the scariest for me!

I tried to watch the Japanese version of "the eye" an couldn't do it.. The US version was creepy enough.
