Quieter Rooster Breed?

The silkie roosters I had were the LOUDEST things. OMG they wouldn't shut up either. High pitched and often was their motto for crowing. The ring leader head rooster would always have to come crow by me if I was outside on the phone. No aggression, he was looking for treats and I wasn't paying attention to him.

My new silkie cockerel has only been crowing for a few days so we'll see how bad he gets. He's not top dog so that helps keep him quieter as well.

Our OEGB has a rather high pitched crow, and isn't too loud. Our Belgian d'Anver roo belts it out like the big guys, though. -nothing quiet about that little bantam. I'm not certain that bantams aren't just as loud as standards, to be honest.
