Quit roosting???

[Newbie in Screamer Al]

I added 2 new birds to my six last week. My original 6 R.R. would roost evry nite in the coop. Since I introduced the 2 new ones, they no longer roost!. They all stay on the coop floor, and the new hen stays by herself there too. Any suggestions? Thanks R

sounds like a pecking order issue. The new girl seems to be dominate and she ran the others off. You could let them work it out by themselves, or remind them that you are at the top of the pecking order. Put all the hens on the roosts and stay in the coop with them. The minute the new one starts to peck at or run them off, you give her a little nudge to remind her you're in charge. If the others hop down, keep putting them back up.

No expert advise here, that just my opinion
