I was listening to Dr Oz today, and he had Paula Deen as a guest. He asked her what her favorite meal was, different things like that, then asked her what her bad habits were. She said "I am so ashamed, French Fried and smoking". Turns out she smokes 1 1/2 packs a day for the last 50 years. Dr Oz said that he had never done heart surgery on a smoker, said for them to wait until they quit. He told her that he would write her a prescription for nicotine, and for welbuterin. I don't watch the show enought to know if she quits.
My fiance was on Chantix for a few days before the bad anger swings started. He stopped taking it the same day I told him I realized it was the pills. I think the tv ad even warns about anger issues.

Glad the e-cig worked for you also. After 33yrs(3 1/2 PAD)I also quit using the e-cig(or PV as some folks call it). It has been almost 7mos. for me, symptom free also. I have gone down from 24mg to 9mg nicotine in that time. I would like to eventually cut down to 0, but not going to rush it. I use the Go-Go with Vermillion River Juices. I'm also a member over at ECF.
Congrats and Good luck to anyone who can quit with any particular way that works for them! I tried the pills, patches, etc, nothing even came close to suppressing symptoms and cravings that the e-cig did for me. Truly a miracle product. My doctor is tickled and asked me for a demonstration and more information to help other patients quit also.
ETA: The wife and oldest daughter also quit at the same time I did. I bought kits for all of us and they worked.

Yep, same here. I now consider chantix about as safe to use as prozac, and I consider prozac to be one of the most dangerous drugs on the market. I worked for many years as the prescription nurse for a large surgical practice. Part of my job was to deal with drug reps. on a daily basis and I learned alot from them.

I'd send you one that was given to Keith after his pulmonary embolisms, but I doubt you'd be able to buy the refills for this particular kit up there. Dang thing would give you a headache trying to draw on it to get the satisfaction of the nicotine out of it.
