Hey all, you might have seen my survey post about smoking for a school project. Well I finished the survey, and now I need something else! Have you quit smoking? Are you now? Are you planning on it?

My questons (answer in your tense):

- How did you quit?
- Was it hard?
- What did others think of it?

Thanks.

I quit cold turkey, that was the only way I could do it.

It was very hard, and for the first few days I felt like dog poo, but it's worth it, after about 4 days you are okay, just remember to breathe deeply.

My husband loves that I quit smoking, my mom wishes she could. I'm just happy that my daughter no longer has to see me smoking. I don't want her thinking that it's a good thing to do.

I've quit several times. Never sticks.

Quit 3 times, still smoking. Would love to stop again and for good, but dont know if I have the will power. I just keep thinking about the birds and or eggs I could be buying with that money I spend for smokes.

I quit after seeing my mom diagnosed and dead from lung cancer in 3 weeks.

It wasn't hard. I had an awful motivation.

I wasn't interested in what others thought.

I recently went to visit my son and new grand-daughter in another state....quit about an hour before I boarded the plane......
never quit when you're making a change in routine or having a life changing event.

Needless to say...it didn't work and just made me extremely emotional (I'm sure it was mostly psychological)

Feeling pretty weak right now...bla

Quit nearly 30 years ago.
Wish I had done it sooner.
Figured if I didn't light it I couldn't smoke it.
Worked pretty well.
Didn't care what others thought. Did it for me.
Still feels good.
