Quitting sugar!

I took a nap after posting this and felt MUCH better. I think I've been relying on sugar to help me get through the days since the baby sleeps so poorly. I still want sugar, but the nap helped out so much. Now I have some spiced tea that has fruit bits making it sweet, so I think I'll be able to resist for the night!

I just recently have started weaning myself off of sugar I didn't think I could go cold turkey. Before I would have 3 tsp. of sugar in 4-6 cups of coffee a day and 2-4 caffeine free pepsi's a day and chocolate as I wanted. I decided to cut back not just for the purpose of cutting out sugar but to loose weight. I commend you for sticking to it and have faith you can over come the addiction. Just cutting back I feel better and I am sure you must too. So try to focus on the upside of it. I have lost 5lbs in one week since making these changes. Try adding a little cinnamon to your diet I heard that helps. I don't know for sure but it could not hurt. I drink a lot of water and that helps me. Good luck

Thanks for the suggestions! I really thought I would feel better by doing this, but it hasn't happened yet. I lost two pounds the first week, but they came back in the second week. Hopefully I'll still lose weight over the course of Lent. If not, at least I will have learned some moderation (I hope!).

I resorted to putting honey into my coffee today because that baby just won't sleep at night. I'm considering drastic measures to get him to wean at night. Next week, we're starting our new regime. I can't do this anymore.
