Hi Patti, love the baby fluff balls! So mom's being pretty protective, that's ok. Your hen sure is a pretty color.

No photos of the naked baby bunnies yet. Today was busy and all about the animals. Our oldest female rabbit (not the babies mother) had to be put down, she was sick & wasting away to nothing. One of the SS laid a normal egg with a rubber egg mashed onto that and was in a semi-bad way so she had to watched and given electrolytes (now she has suddenly decided to be broody for the 1st time). The little boy goat was banded today and needed extra attention. It's been a tiring day but everyone should be better tomorrow (except of course Missy the rabbit RIP).

Hurry and get her some fertile eggs to sit. I could watch mama and chicks all day long.

Thank you, she doesn't know they weren't her eggs the chicks are Cochin bantam but she loves them just the same.

Thank you about Missy, DH was pretty tore up about it. While I'll miss her, he is the primary caretaker of the rabbits and Missy was our first.

Yep, banded is what that does. We want to keep Chappy but we can't have 2 males fighting all the time. Chappy will be good company for our male (One) when the female has to be separated from him while her babies are young. Poor One gets so lonesome for companionship and Chappy is very sweet, they'll get along well.
