I know Mother's Day is over, but thought I would share what one of our grand daughters wrote for her mother. She loves writing poems. Our DIL shared this with me. The grand daughter is 15.
Mother's Beacon
[COLOR=rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961)]First time you meet
Five fingers twined
Around your one
Moment divine.
Who knew one could
Love one so much,
Worth more than gold
One single touch.
The days go by
You watch her walk
She starts to laugh
And sing and talk.
The sweetness in
Those precious times
Fill your heart with
Joy sublime.
You give your best
To be the one
To help her find
God's chosen son.
The years fly by
The girl so small
Is now getting
Rather tall.
Her broken hearts
Become yours too.
You must be strong
To help her through.
All dressed in white
You see her go
But not without
The things you know.
A mothers love
So strong and bright
A beacon of
The purest light.
