Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

Thanks WB! We enjoy our garden and eat quite a bit of it. Now we're talking about trying to grow more stuff for the animals to cut down a bit on feed bills. The rabbits could use more greenery and the goats like a lot of different things. And of course, you know how chickens eat, lol. Any thoughts on what we could do more of or add?

I would think that almost any kind of vegetables would be good for the animals and of course you and DH. Carrots, radishes maybe some lettuce. I feed the chickens any table scraps. My chickens like oats which is pretty cheap and they like cheerios.

Hi Ken! It's always fun getting the garden started up in the spring/early summer. Do you grow a lot of stuff?

Good morning all from me and my handsome Swedish Flower chick!

Hi, that certainly IS a handsome chick! Have you raised those before?

This is my first official garden. Have had flower bed tomatoes before but not this many. Going to put in a salad/salsa garden this year. Probably 3 sisters too so we can have corn on the cob

Good morning all my peeps! I hope that you are all having a lovely day.

Sumi, so happy for you! :hugs

Debby, congratulations on a good garden.

WB, so sorry to hear about your tomatoes. But everything else sounds like it's doing well.

Ken, so glad you'll be able to start getting ready to plant soon.

Peep-Chicken, that's a pretty big chick, compared to the little guy next to him. Are they a large chicken? It a beautiful chick.

Sounds great Ken!

We use our peppers mostly for salsa too. The Ball canning book has some good recipes for salsa. Our favorite one is their Jalapeno Salsa (and it's not as hot as it sounds).

Not familiar with 3 sisters. I take it that's a variety name?
