We went to visit the landmark big tree in a local forrest yesterday and I took some pics for all you tree and nature lovers.

My son was quite funny. I told him I'm going to show him a very big tree, but he wasn't impressed or terribly interested (he's 8...), so we walked into the forrest and he keeps pointing out trees saying "There is a big tree, there is a big tree…" walked around the corner onto the bridge leading up the big tree, stopped in his tracks and went "WHOA!" Well, I told him it's a BIG tree lol

The forrest we live in is very similar to this one.

Oh how lovely! Wow...800 years old! I am glad he survived so long! If he could only talk and tell you of tales long ago. Thanks for sharing Sumi! What a beautiful forest!!
