Here is my favorite rose out there now. I love the yellow ones too, and with them both right beside each other blooming away, it's quite beautiful. Click on the photo..I love seeing them up close like that.

Good morning Nicky...is that sunflower at your place?   Mine are just coming up.  I love them!

Good morning Cynthia!
No, sadly at a friends. The disappointing thing is a day after I took that picture. A squirrel chewed the flower's head off. So it's gone now. I wanted to get pictures of the whole life cycle. Oh, well. It was a masive head too.

sumi, I love that half and half colored flower. That is so cool looking. Is that a type of rose? Is it a smaller rose...a bush with a lot of small roses on it? We have some roses that folks plant in an area of their yard that will cover..and those buses can get very large, with small little roses all over it. Then there are the regular rose buses that we keep cut back. I have two of those. I am just wondering if we have these in our state. Do you know the name of that one? This one. :)

Cynthia, this is a type of rose, yes. I'll have to ask the landlady what it's called. It took forever to open up finally, it's been "in the works" since we moved in 2 weeks ago! Worth the wait though, it's so pretty.

Cynthia your rose is stunning too!

And the sunflower

I love them… I bought some red sunflower seeds here 2 years ago and grew them in SA. I was so happy when they thrived there and those blooms were amazing. I want to grow some again next Summer!

I just bought my first red sunflower seeds this yr. I have a couple coming up. I hope they do well. They are planted where that neighbor cat likes to go potty. But, I put them up against the wall..hopefully, they will get going here and not get pulled up by the cat.

Nicky, a squirrel got that sunflower? Oh man.

I guess those little stinks, can be little stinkers from what I hear. We don't have any here in this place we live, but did have one for a while in our big big tree in another town. Only saw it the one yr. Had fun watching it. It wasn't doing any damage to anything, so it wasn't a problem.
