Been busy cleaning out a barn of stuff that was left by the previous owners. Mostly junk but did find a lot of Bell jars and their lids so that was a nice surprise. We have someone coming in the a.m. to haul it off Then we had them come out and refill our LPG tank...that was a quick 300 bucks but it should last into the Winter months.

I did not have Bacon for dinner last night...had to settle for grilled pork chops. But I did have Bacon for breakfast this a.m. And, I did share it with my dogs right from the table...I am a bad boy but a good dog companion. So, I had to fix a lot of extra to be sure there was enough for me and them.

This makes me appreciated Wisconsin's lacking number of large snakes. I rarely see the little garter snakes. (I'm not even sure that's what they're really called)

Jon I think you would be my dogs beat friend if you shared bacon directly from the table ;). I shared a bite of my BLT for each last night and made them an egg for breakfast though so maybe they'd consider me a close second :D

It's 11:32pm here and I have an electrician in my kitchen taping up my cooker and making it safe and user friendly. Earlier this evening, when I turned it on, the sparks flew. So I found my landlord and told him about the problem, he found the electrician, who came to have a look and found very little actually right with the cooker. One cooking element was hanging in mid-air, loose and worn wires everywhere... A loose wire in the back actually blew a little hole through the metal plate at the back when I turned it on tonight…

I'm equally horrified and relieved that I didn't kill myself cooking dinner on that thing...
