Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

Here you go, there's enough for everyone (and they are big). Oatmeal, chocolate chips, M&M's, peanut butter...all the good stuff.

They look scrumptious!

Those are from my sister's Monster Cookie recipe. I lost my sis in 2001. My Dad always asked me to make them after we lost her and he passed in 2010. So, lots of memories tied up with this cookie...and they are all sweet

They're really easy to make, I shared the recipe on the home baker's thread in my sig line if anyone is interested. Gotta warn you though, a Kitchen Aid mixer is almost a must. It makes a LOT of cookies and that dough will give you the workout of your life if you try to hand mix it.

I had half a packet of Ginger Nuts already, but what the hey, send some over.

It's lovely to find some comfort in the sadness of losing loved ones and thinking about and remembering them, even if it makes us sad. Sorry about that...

When my Dad left I read the book "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold. (The messed it up with the movie) I found that strangely comforting.

I read that book too Sumi, it was very well done. Didn't see the movie but then I usually like the books better than the movies they make from them.

Those cookies look yum!

Debby, I found 99% of the time books are much better than movies. It's more enjoyable to sit and read too
