Shannon, I think taking the other truck sounds like an excellent plan, lol.

Sheesh, we got rain and more rain last night. In about 1.5 hours we got a bit over 5". The yard was pretty much flooded but since our "dirt" consists of mostly sand, standing water doesn't happen here (neither does mud really). Lots of lightening and thunder, all the girls were scared to death so I don't know if anyone will feel like laying an egg today. The power went out so Brian & were reduced to playing Scrabble by candlelight...we probably mis-spelled more words than we got right.

I hope that new job doesn't keep you away from us, we need you here!

5"?! Holy cow. Right now our winds picked up. We went from over 90 degrees down to 70. I'll take it!

As for work...I just had a conversation with my boss. It's going to be busy for a while yet while the people with more seniority finally get to take some vacation time, but hopefully within a month or so there will be a new hire. Then there will be more of a rotation. I also heard the good news that I will have to work some Sundays.

Not ideal, but it's not forever.
