Incident today!! Advice and best wishes greatly appreciated!
My BR Bantam got stepped on......by me.....
I was changing the coop water and she, as my friendliest girl, hopped out of the coop and wound up under my foot.
The liquid and yolk of an egg came out of her, and I took the membrane out of her vent while placing her under warm water. (No Shell!)
I went to the vet, but they didn't have an avian doctor during their emergency hours
I am taking her again tomorrow.
She is indoors with food and water in an isolation cage. I have seen her eat and drink as well as produce a healthy dropping.
No blood thank the lords!
Any advice on how I can make her more comfortable in isolation or on what to expect medically would be GREATLY appreciated. I am willing to fund any treatment as long as it is the best option.
