Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

I wanted to let everyone know that Butch's biopsy procedure went well. The doctor said there were abnormal cells present but wouldn't speculate on them. They will have results, at the earliest today, but, most likely on Tuesday (due to Monday 4th of July holiday). Please continue your thoughts and prayers for him and his family.

This email came last night with Kyle's update:

Hello everyone.
Just thought I'd share that Kyle had another good day and told me so :). He and I went to the zoo this morning. We battled some rain showers while we were there but in four hours, we squeezed in the Childrens zoo, two train rides, a carousel ride, lunch and the sea lion show, in addition to seeing some animals. He was a trooper through it all and let me carry him under the umbrella whenever it was raining. On the way to exit, he said (unprompted), "Mama, I have a good day! Good time!" So that justified it for me. In the parking lot, I finally let him walk and he jumped in every puddle soaking his shorts and my shoes, but his giggling made it worth it.
I thought I should point out to those who haven't seen Kyle in the past few weeks, he does not look or act like a sick kid. I doubt anyone around us would have known or suspected anything was out of the ordinary. I'm sure they all just thought I was some kind of crazy germa-phobe following her kid around with wipes and hand sanitizer. He loved all the extra stuff we did, but he really loved the train. His favorite animal was either the rhino or elephant. :)
Hope everyone has a fun Friday!

Praise God the procedure went well! Praying for good news, Gods will be done!

Many people wear many different masks throughout the day but who you truly are is the person you are at home..what do you think, watch, do?
Just a Friday thought to think on

it never ceases to amaze me the strength of little kids as they go thru some of the most horrific, or terrible procedures...

as an adult, we can certainly take a page from their book.

that boy looks like a pistol. bet mamma has her hands full.

I should be on 30-45 minutes in the morning, enough to do some new member intros, drop in and say hi--otherwise I'll be gone.
