Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

It's been three months since Kyle was given a clean slate and he went in today to see how things are going. Here are the two emails that DD sent:

Hello everyone!
We had Kyle's 3-month follow up appointment. He had a chest X-ray, blood work, urine test and exam. The results show no cancer (Hurray!!!). The doctor said he looks great. There was one thing in the urine test that was a little off, so Kyle will repeat that test next week. The doctor said it is something that normally appears in people who are dehydrated, so it is possible that he did not drink enough before the test today. For now, they aren't concerned but we will do the follow up just to verify it isn't anything.
We are very relieved and as nice as it was to see his doctors and others at the hospital we haven't seen in a while, we definitely do not miss our weekly trips there. Many memories and emotions whenever we drive up to the hospital.
Kyle will have the same tests done in 3 months (May 1st). If everything is still clear, we will schedule his port removal after that appointment.
Thank you for you prayers and support.

Hello again.
I know there will be questions about the kidney test. The thing that was "off" was his creatinine level. Again, they didn't seem really concerned but they are being cautious because the levels were always normal until this point. One thing I read after doing a quick search online is that people with high muscle mass and low body fat, could have higher creatinine levels. When you look at Kyle, that definitely describes him, so we will see what next week's test shows.
Another thing I forgot in the last email... When they did Kyle's vitals, he is up to 40.1 pounds (which is up almost 2 pounds) and he is 41 3/4 inches tall (which is almost 1 inch taller than his last appointment)!!!!! I actually had them measure his height twice because I didn't believe it. His body is definitely fighting back from the chemo, and we are thrilled!

Kyle loves the aquariums at the Children's Hospital and it makes a perfect background to say:

Note the t-shirt....he continues to say he will be a fireman when he grows up!

I loved reading the good news.

for sure brought a teary smile to my face......

keep rocking it Little Warrior!!

@NotAFarm thanks for the wonderful update! I've been thinking about the little man and I didn't forget to write him something. Things have just been so crazy here, I can't get my mind to sit still long enough to make a good effort with it.

I have to disagree with this one…. Whoever said that clearly never went for a walk on the beach with a VERY disobedient dog (not mine) called Bubbles...

Ever walked along a semi-busy beach screaming "BUBBLES!!!!!!" Fantastic way to get really odd looks from people… Best ever
