Indeed. That would have been Little Dry Creek in or near Denver, CO (or maybe Englrwood), behind the trailer park. Many happy hours on its banks though it only ever ran about ankle deep. Every kid should have a creek!

I loved the creek behind my house. It had minnows, caught with a cup, or bare hands. It had crayfish. It had rocks you could use to cross it. And my mother knew it definitely had skunk cabbage!
