Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

Me too! I shared that quote today, because I liked it and I'm thrilled to find such like-minded company. I'm enjoying these agri and farm themed quotes and memories.

I got thinking about this book (which everyone, IMO, should read): http://www.kingsolver.com/books/animal-vegetable-miracle.html

If ever you need an eye opening reminder how dependant we've become on supermarkets and shops and farmers for food...
adding this one to my list. I did not know about this one, thanks.

I am trying my hardest to start a CSA on my land... I have hundreds of signature supporting the idea but sadly no money. I applied for a grant recently but that opportunity was not meant to be, so I will continue on. Almost no body produces fruits or vegetables here, I live in a sea of cattle, which is great because I can find healthy local meat ( and manure ) but I want to provide fresh organic produce to the local population... I am very blessed with two green thumbs, I hope I can grow more each year and share more each season... And perhaps make a modest living at some point...
Never give that idea up. If I had it I would back you in a heartbeat, girl. I know your heart is in the right place and those are the kind of folks I wanna do business with. Let's see if we can find some $$$ somewhere.

Sorry, not trying to preach at all. I'm a libertarian through & through...people are free to do whatever they want if it doesn't hurt me/mine or impose on someone else's liberty. And I have never agreed with imprisoning someone for years for a non-violent crime. I'm just saying that making weed legal is being done purely for profit driven reasons.
Profit driven and it makes the politicians look good to a part of the voting population who didn't worry about it before.

Arlene,
I'm still 13 pages from being caught up and out of ovations

, but couldn't let this one go without a serious THANK YOU. This should be tattooed into the brain of every parent and every boss out there.
