Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

It never bothers me. I've had people mock my beliefs on several occasions. I view it as their problem not mine. I have my beliefs and they have theirs. I'm comfortable with it

I figure we're all just people right?

I'm so thankful for my journey, it has led me to all of you!

I have a decal going on my car that says, "Today is a good day." It's so much better than those nasty bumper stickers.

Welcome chickchoon1! I'm sure you're as bright as the sun shines you just don't know it yet

I know right?
You know how I love Rumi.

Good Morning gang, happy Saturday. Yesterday was my BF mom's b-day so was busy most the day on that. It is a beautiful 50 degree morning already here in Boulder, Colorado.

PS - I have that darn crud that is going around, had it a week now! I am going to turn into an herb I swear from all the homeopathic herbs and syrups I have been taking.

aww I am sending healing vibes your way.

Gosh, I love hibiscus plants, they are my favourites along with sunflowers. Which reminds me, I found RED sunflowers in Ireland

We had a plant nursery here and flower-wise roses were very good sellers. Cut roses also sell well, someone down the road from us does them.

Let me see… this is the closest I have to inspiration/motivation on the computer at the moment:

If that doesn't work, here's a smile:

both are wonderful

I gave it all up to help my husband's dreams come true. They haven't. I think that is why it almost breaks my heart to keep on digging a hole that we are not getting out of. If I am going to be living in poverty-I could have done that being an artist!

Oh well, enough self pity, the weeds await.
You have to follow your own path, sometimes it is side by side with someone else's dream sometimes not.

Talking about sunflowers...

I love sunflowers, we have a field of them on the way to town. My favorites are the ones who refuse to follow the sun. rebels

Self employment is not a dead concept. A lot of great stuff out there comes from small business and nothing says that your ideas can't grow into more if you find your niche. Find your niche, see the hole in the market that bigger places can't fill.... One of the decades top trends is customization... Personal touches mass markets can't always do... Live your dream, if you fail at least you tried....

Don't you dare give up! we need more folks like ya'll who have a good work ethic and love the out doors. Our country needs to get back to basic and quit letting entertainment rule their lives.I hate to go out to eat[and that isn't very often] but look around and everyone is sitting at their table with their phones instead of talking to each other. makes me sad.

I get discouraged when my husband starts to get down. I think the idea of college tuition starting next year settled in and he is flustered. I can't handle him getting flustered.  That's my job!

I did not mean to swallow this thread up with my glum mood. But I do appreciate all of your suggestions and support. There are some good ones I need to think hard on.
Maybe we just need to not stop what we are doing, but tweak it a bit.

I used to love going to mom and pop nurseries. They had locally grown plants that I knew would do well in this location and they were timed for our seasons.

I need to buy lottery tickets! It's not a good plan, but it's a plan!

Lottery tickets... Yeah I need those too....
I only go to mom and pop nurseries.... They have the best stuff :)

Dale Carnegie

"First ask yourself: What is the worst that can happen? Then prepare to accept it. Then proceed to improve on the worst."

"One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon-instead of enjoying the roses blooming outside our windows today."

"You can make more friends in two months by becoming more interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get people interested in you"

"Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all."

"Remember, today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday."

"We all have possibilities we don't know about. We can do things we don't even dream we can do."

"Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get."

"Do you remember the things you were worrying about a year ago? How did they work out? Didn't you waste a lot of fruitless energy on account of most of them? Didn't most of them turn out all right after all?"

no, no wild bill... you are supposed to say.." Stick it out! Don't give up! You have too much invested!"
Come on, play along. Reality can slap me about on Monday.

I'll say it: DON'T YOU DARE GIVE UP!

I got your PM, DH and I are going to go over it later and send over some ideas for you. I also want to take some pics of funky plant things us crazy South Africans got up to here, that you can try as well. I'm a firm believer in if something doesn't work, try something else. The sky's the limit when it comes to plants and nursery related stuff. I'm sure we'll figure out something for you
