Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

I took a load over to hazlehurst,Ga yesterday but the Mill's crane was broke down so I had to leave the load over their. So this morning I gotta go back and hook back up to it and take it back to the mill.

Well, not exactly a day off then.

A large part of this area of FL seems to be owned by Georgia Pacific so we see the big log trucks frequently. They used to kind of scare me when we first moved here, but I finally realized those were some of the most careful drivers around.

Good morning sumi, Wild Bill, Nicky and Kim!

Nice to see some chatter going on already today. Nice quotes too!

The roofers finished our house yesterday, YAY. It looks great and now I'll have a much quieter day all to myself.

Good morning Debby!!
Nothing like peace and quiet after work has been done!!

Yes indeedy. Ah, nothing but a bunch of chattery chickens, some bleating goats and of course, the neighbors dogs. Which is all much better than all the hammering and thunking up above my head, lol. They were nice people and did a good job but it'll be nice to have the place to myself again.

So nice to finally get your name Kim! Much faster to type than your screen name

How are the goats!! Doing well I hope? We have some lambs down at the farm where I keep the horse. They are so cute :love They went out yesterday for the first time into the paddock as we had a lovely day, can't say that about today though raining again. It was lovely watching them have their first run around.

Kim, the little goats are doing great, thanks for asking!

They run and jump almost constantly and they love to climb up this large fallen tree in their enclosure. They are also finding the tiniest openings in fencing to slip out, little escape artists. We keep plugging up the holes and they find another one. Because their mom is pygmy, these are some tiny kids. I need to get another photo of them, will work on that today.

The lambs sound lovely. Are they any calmer than goats?

No not really a day off. Most other truckers look at log truck drivers as the bottom of the food chain in the trucking industry. I drove over the road for a year didn't like being gone from home for a month at a time. It some of the big companies that hire the driver right out of school so I'd say they are the ones to watch out for. Most of log truck drivers have been at it a while. No logger will hire someone just out of school. Got to have at least 3 years driving first.
