Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

Yay!! Congrats!   I have some to hatch in a couple of weeks but I won't get to watch their under a hen so thanks for sharing this experience. so precious

Thankyou Patti
Hope you have a great hatch with your broody. I would love to see one of my hens hatch and raise some of their own but they are polish and not that broody!!

All you need is a bantam. lol and thanks I look forward to it. Nothing sweeter than a mama hen and her chicks.

Is that the Brinsea octagon incubator? how do you like it? I was considering getting the one that only hold six eggs so I won't ...well you know, chicken math.
I had a similar one, without the humidity pump. I LOVE IT! I'm looking to buy a bigger model when I'm back home and am planning to to hatch quite a bit. I absolutely recommend Brinsea incubators, they are pricey, but they are great.

They hold up then? I will have for years to come?
I take this whole responsibility thing rather seriously. I do not want to start some eggs, mess up the turning and humidity and kill them before they had a chance.

And my bees ...all those little lives.

the pressure!

Quote: Well you see. That is what I needed, a broody hen, but sourland's magic failed me last year, and I think my girls are thinking more about their retirement to some island paradise than eggs and chicks.
I was going to just sneak them under the unsuspecting hen that sleeps in the nesting box.
That'll learn her.
