Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

Martha Beck wrote a very insightful article about Rat Park a few years ago that was in O the Magazine (Oprah's mag). DH -- an addictions counselor -- would read it to each new incoming class of court-mandated miscreants.

One positive thing... Tomorrow is a new day... Oh and at least you didn't wake up dead... He he
It's always a pleasant surprise to wake up in the morning. A great way to start the day!

"If our dreams aren't way beyond us, they are not worth pursuing." -(I'm not sure who said this)
"Ah, but a man's reach should exceed his grasp or what's a heaven for?" This quote by Robert Browning was wood-burnt onto my high school Chaucer teacher's podium. That and reciting the first page of "Canterbury Tales" in Olde English every morning will be forever engraved on his classes' brains....

I always say to my BF that food is love! One of my never ending passions cooking/baking. I will try anything, love to cook from scratch. I know there are many foodies out there! My thoughts for the day from me.

A way to a man's heart is through his stomach. There's a reason they call it "comfort food."

I've often joked to my DH that if I could make a marketable eau de parfum in bacon scent that half the men and all the dogs would follow me home....
