Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

I got to tell you all how things worked out this side, with the farm sale. We had two sets of buyers, the couple that bought our place and our tenants, who are renting the main farm house. (Us and MIL each have a flat on the property, we used the main house as a B&B).

Since we got the offer last week we've been putting off telling the tenants, since they told us they have a home loan in place and are just waiting for the money to be transferred… Well, they did. But not to buy our place as they've been telling us! They were after a cheaper property all this time and were basically stringing us along, so they can stay here while they are waiting for the loan to come through for them. So when we told them the "bad news" today, that we sold to the other buyers and they have to move, they told us they are getting ready to move into this other house!

I'm honestly so relieved we did have genuine buyers lined up, I'm not even slightly mad at them for lying to us all the time. To be honest I'm more amused than anything. Things just somehow, with the timing, worked out beautifully? They are moving out when we need them to vacate, since their loan came through for them finally, our buyers are happy, we're happy and they are sorted

Ah, the illustrious renter who is supposedly buying "your" house. LOL Yep had one of those. Needless to say, that is why we live here in MI and hubs is stuck in TX for now. I'm so glad it all worked out the way it's supposed to.

This is great news!! So pleased it has all worked out and your tenants are moving out when needed. Tenants can be a real nightmare. I've had my fair share over the last few years, generally not moving out!! All the putting off telling them and they were going anyway, what a relief for you.

Thank you. It's in honor of my horse. They call her a rescue but I often wonder who saved who. :')

X2 On that!! My horse Harry was an ex racer who would have probably got the bullet as many poor race horses do when they are no good at racing. He has cheered me up no end of times over the last 12 years. Always happy to see me now matter how I'm feeling. Can certainly drag you out of the doldrums.

Good morning everyone!

Just wanted to stop in and post a few shots of our gang yesterday. We herded all 24 into our garden area and let them go to work. They spent several hours in there scratching and pecking away, finding worms and bugs to gobble up. I pulled up the tomatoe roots and had a bunch of them following my every move once they learned there were some worms involved. By the end of there time in there they just started to get into digging our raised beds apart, which is the main reason we put them in there. I got no shots of that as my phone was dead. We will do this a few more times before getting the beds reading for planting. It is beautiful out today and will be outside, I am sure by tonight there will be over 100 posts. Have a great Monday!

My Riri as I sometimes call her wasn't a racer, she was a grand Prix jumper. And horror of horrors she took a career ending impact injury. Primped up money maker got ditched as fast as you can say former racer. She's a beautiful dark bay Trekehner, complete with American Warmblood brand on flank. SMH.

Here are the new baby goats, not even 24 hours old. We're pretty sure of their gender but it was dark last night. We'll get a better look today and then we can name them properly. Every one is doing great.

Girl

Boy

Dad (his name is One because of the side marking)

Mom (Prancer, she's such a good mom to the babies)
