All good over here.
What's got the electricity off. Did y'all have a storm?

Don't let that cute article fool you. Early this year we had daily power-outs because they ran out of water at one of their power plants… WATER. We do not have a shortage of water in this country. We do appear to have a bit of a management issue at certain power plants in this country though...

Sounds like they need to build another power plant or two. When I lived in Florida the power company would install a switch in the power box that they could control a certain appliances like your air conditioner and turn it off during peak hours. Didn't totally lose power though. And they did give a discount for letting them do it. What they doing to y'all well hate to say it but it sucks!! How long do they keep your power off at a time?

Good morning Debby and Sumi. Hope y'all have a blessed day.

Don't go there… They did build one, managed to sink an incredible amount of money into it and cannot get it complete and up and running. Which is sadly not unusual for our country at the moment. We are in a huge mess here and no-one seems to know how or where to start sorting it out. Did I mention I'm glad I'm leaving?

They usually load shed us for 2 hours, 20 minutes, but that's because we are out in the sticks. The cities get loadshedded for much longer at a time. I think they had the city of Cape Town off for an entire day a few weeks ago.
