Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

Still having some chest pain. And, my throat has a weird sensation going on. I am pretty sure I may need that endoscopy and will need to have my throat ballooned. I hear that it helps a lot! Thank you for asking!
I sure hope everyone else is doing well, and getting things done as they like. As in ... moving... sumi..hope all goes well with that!

Still praying for you!

That reminds me of a young clerk that worked in my department. She thought I was joking when I said seat belts used to be optional in cars.
Our truck doesn't have seat belts… Never did and never will

Thanks for the well wishes everyone and sorry I'm neglecting you all at the moment. I try to read all the posts, but time to reply to everyone there simply isn't right now. We still have a ton of stuff to do, but things are progressing. The tenants are busy moving out and said they'll probably be out of here finally and completely by Friday. I'm not having any joy with the Irish agents via email, so no rental confirmed that side yet, but we are going to book our flights next week and as soon as we have a departure/arrival date, I'm going to start phoning them. That works surprisingly well when you're trying to get someone's attention

Hope you feel better real soon.

sumi, just take it easy and don't over do it. I know when I have moved in the past I always say I will take it easier but I always end up staying up all night in the new place putting things away.

Cynthia12, relax and do as your doctors tell you to do. That is my advice even though I don't follow it myself. In 2011 I had shortness of breath and muscle aches one day, told myself I was coming down with a cold, pushed myself all day, drove myself to the ER that evening where I found out I was having a heart attack for most of the day. That was a long hospital stay and a very expensive lesson. Listen to your body and act accordingly.

As for living in an earlier time. There are a bunch I would love to have lived in. But I have to remind myself what they did not have. Ever notice in period movies how no one ever has to go to the bathroom...because they did not have them, only outhouses/privies. No electric lights, ever try to read by the light of a single candle. No refrigeration so only preserved, dried, salted foods or meat that you have to over spice and cook beyond recognition if you could not get something fresh that day.

So, I remind myself that I am right where I am supposed to be, when I am supposed to be and who I am supposed to be. For what that is worth.
