Thanks everyone, I have news… The transfer went through at noon, we went to Home Affairs in Plettenberg Bay and got the documents we need to travel with my DS, 5 YEARS almost to the day of applying for it and… We got weekend flights! We're flying to Abu Dhabi on Sunday evening and from there to Dublin Monday morning. So at around 03:30pm local time we'll be home!

That is great news! I am so happy that things are turning around and working in your favor at last.

Wish I could send you some of ours. We just got another inch and more is expected AND we are several hundred miles from the flooding. Central Texas was/is being hit really hard (Austin, San Marcos, Wimberley) and we are praying for them. Huge loss of property (over 350 houses washed away in Wimberley) and injury/loss of life. One family visiting from the coast for a vacation, father with broken leg and ribs, mother and two children not seen yet. The Blanco river in Wimberley rose 26 inches in one hour.

I wish you could send me some of your rain. I've seen where y'all have been get a lot of rain and rough weather. Hope you have a blessed memorial day Jon. :)

its been terrible dry here. then pour in the water to the gardenbut not so much to the yard haven't had to mow in a couple of weeks now.
We're extremely dry too. I am watering everything I have set out in pots. I'd like a couple inches over a 48 hr period.

So sad about those folks in Texas and Ok.

Busy day visiting gravesites and putting flowers down.

I didn't know GA was not getting rain. That's different for the southern end..right? We had a beautiful day. It rained..again, for just a bit this morning. When we went out and about, the mountains were just beautiful with huge clouds hanging over them. If it's ok, I will post some of the photos that I took..ha..while driving down the road.
