Something attacked her face. We were gone for a wedding yesterday and got home late. I usually check everyone before I close up but skipped it this time. One eye may be gone and she has cuts all around her head and neck. I cleaned her, dryed her, and out on some neosporin for now. She's laying with her mate by the water quietly right now.

Aww poor thing, they are amazing how well they heal from some pretty horrendous attacks. hopefully she will too.Main thing to keep her from flies they will lay eggs in open wounds you don't want to have to deal with maggots.

Oh my gosh I don't think I could handle that. So far weather is on our side. There's not many bugs out yet, but I will check her constantly. So far she's still laying with Maverick which is normal. They usually sleep most of the day.
