Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

Quote: Hi Sumi I'm doing good thanks! Enjoying the day with little Alex.
How's things going for you. Still getting settled in?
Great way to spend a day! We moved into another temporary accommodation arrangement yesterday. I'm hoping like mad the house will be ready soon. I really want to settle and start making a home now… I did have fun buying household stuff this morning though. Including a lovely chicken themed range of kitchen goodies ;)

That's always fun, especially finding chicken themed stuff. :p I hope you get settled soon.

It is a beautiful day for a drive today. In a few hours I'll be off to surprise my pops.

I hope we'd be able to move and settle soon… We've been here nearly a month now and have been floating around longer than that. I'm trying out some of my new purchases this evening, just put dinner on. I'll see about getting some pics for you all

I saw a nice looking hen ornament at the shop today. I'll probably have to go back and buy the poor thing sometime... I'm a sucker for homeless chickens

Hey, I hope everyone is having a great day. Here's what happened to me yesterday,..late afternoon. :/

I always worry about falling down out side when I am doing chicken work. If finally happened. No fun. Fell on my right hip and side. One time I can say that I am grateful for some padding!
Just starting to feel the soreness of what I hit when I went down, and I held onto the fence to try to stop the fall. Mistake. My fingers and wrist hurt..always my right side when I fall. Sure thankful nothing was broken! My wrist is pretty sore though, I sprained it last yr. now I think I did it again. Sore right knee.
I know when that cement is wet to be careful!..I was getting fresh water for the chickens and cleaned out a feeder...Anyway, it is slick because it is old..plus, I was wearing those old clogs, or what ever they call them, and they have no tread now. Slippery on wet cement. Had to call DH with my cell phone to come out and help me. Glad I had my phone on me, don't think he would have heard me yelling out. He said that Brody. our dachshund, had come into the room where he was. whining and acting worried just before his phone rang. He had been watching me outside. Smart little dog.

Doing ok today. My knee and wrist being the most painful. Thank Heavens I didn't break anything. I am thanking the Lord every time I think about it.
