I'm not sure about the norm age .. I know I've heard of some living to 8 yrs..probably some older..but these were hens. Friends of mine have had the old hens.

My oldest hen was 5 years then a predator came during the middle of the day and had lunch

Bantams live 6-8 years and standards live 8-10 (as long as they are healthy).

I have a frizzle Cochin bantam 7 yrs old and a Brahma hen 6 yrs old they are my 2 oldest other than my bantam game roo he is 6yrs old a month older than my Brahma
