Hi all, I drove quite a long instance distance today, 9 hours on the road in total, but experienced such a wonderful act of kindness today, that made the journey more than worthwhile. I got stopped at a road works on my way home, they let everyone until the car in front of me go, but I got stopped, so they can give the oncoming traffic a turn. Traffic in both directions was quite heavy this afternoon. I grinned at the guy that stopped my line and joked with him a bit, for stopping me. He said there was a gap between me and the car in front, so they took it. I said to him I can't drive fast, I have chickens in the car! (I was transporting my hens today). We chatted a bit and then he walked off and started talking on his two-way radio to the guy at the other end, who was letting the coming traffic through. After about 12 cars, they stopped suddenly and the guy on my side came came to my window again and said to me "Only you go. GO, GO, Go!!!" They stopped the traffic from the other side, to let only me through quickly! So here's this looong line of cars waiting in both directions and there goes Sumi lol. That was really, really sweet of him. Shows you how far a little friendliness can go, hey?
