Quotes and Thoughts for the Day

Hi Sunny, I'm so glad it's not just me, lol. Sometimes I think I read too much into things. :P  But it makes me wonder, how else would silence be a revenge?

I hope somebody can elaborate on this for us today. Because I really can't figure out for the life of me what else it would be implying!
But Winnie the Pooh just doesn't seem like the silent treatment type of guy.... You know?

Nope, not Winnie (and definitely not Tigger)!

I think Winnie, would worry you to death asking you so many questions about what Pooh bear had done to make you upset......

Morning sumi! I've seen this quote before and I always wonder about this part, "...silence will always be the best revenge...". Maybe I'm not reading it the way it's meant but it always makes me think of the dreaded silent treatment some people employ. I'd much rather have someone tell me what I did that's bothering them, than get no feedback at all. The ex was a master at the silent treatment, he would go for days without saying what was bothering him. Of course, now I don't hear from him at all so the silence is a blessing, lol.

Probably reading too much into it, just thinking out loud (always a dangerous thing to do, especially early in the day).

How I read it to mean, when someone says something to get your goat. The best way to get back at them is no response. That all they want is drama. :idunno I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time. :P

You are probably right. It's probably not meaning to use the full blown silent treatment, but rather use a nonchalant approach to drama, by not feeding into it or letting it consume you.

You ladies are most likely right. Maybe it's the "revenge" word that bugs me. Maybe I need more to think about. Maybe it's time to go play with the chickens!

It should have said, ''Reply" not 'Revenge"
Not all things that we are told require a reply.
Revenge is a reply.
Revenge has no value except keeping a bitter fire burning.
other cheek, then when you run out of cheeks, walk away...
