I tried finding some mother's day quotes and sayings but none of them seemed appropriate or accurate enough to sum up the mother I have been blessed to call my own. She is selfless, caring, sweet, nurturing, hard-working, Christ-seeking and always strives to put others before herself. My hope is to one day grow up to be at least half as amazing as she is. I could not ask for a better mother, teacher and friend. "A blessing" doesn't seem to even be enough to describe this woman... I guess that's why words cannot describe how wonderful she is.

If I still had my mother, I'd love for her to know how important the small things were. I wrote this poem for her before she passed. So in her honor, I'd like to share it with my friends.

♡ Mother ♡

My deepest love I send to you, my mother.
She is my friend, but like no other.

Her love is endless as the stretch of time.
I thank you Mom, for the life that's mine.

My mother has a golden heart.
I pray our lives will never part.

She gives without a second thought.
Her happiness is all I sought.

She loves me in her special way.
A smile from her can brighten my day.

We'll communicate with the slightest glance.
We joke and laugh at every chance.

I love you mother, more than I can say perhaps even more on this special day.
