Jack got big!! As big as our Golden R. I bought him as a mini Golden Doodle. Paid quite a bit. Man, they shouldn't do things like that..being dishonest.
So, we have a daughter and son in law with 5 boys..yep, 5 boys. They now have him..they love him! He loves them. They brought him by yesterday, and he's even bigger than when I said, ok, have to let him go, too big! He's a good looking dog though, and smart! If I didn't already have a big dog, I so would have kept him!
I went out looking for a smaller dog, and older, because hey..I don't have that much more time here on earth..so don't want a dog to out live me. So actually, the Jack thing worked out, I just wasn't thinking right at the time.
I really didn't expect to find a dog like I was thinking of getting the day we went out. Went to the pound, then found out that a rescue was going to be at our feed store. Went, and found this little girl. Never thought I would like to have a Shih Tzu..but, after walking her, and watching her, and her just laying flat out on her tummy when I stopped for a while, I knew I have found my dog. She had been called Misty, but our Golden is Missy, so changed her name to Abby. She knows it already, have only had her for about a week and a half. She looks like something out of Star Wars to me, took me a while to get used to those big bug eyes, but she is a love! Smart..house wise. All the good things that come from adopting an older dog. They said she was 5, then put on the paper .. 5 or 6. She runs and gets around really well. She's healthy.
Loves it when I'm in the kitchen...she wants treats, often. Had to be stubborn with them for a while to get her to eat her dog food.
